What You Could Qualify For
These are the four main programs available to Central New York homeowners. Most addresses qualify for at least two of them at once.
NYS Clean Heat
Up to $12,000 combined, varies by address and equipment. Applied as an instant discount at install, not a reimbursement you have to file for later.
Utility Rebate
A flat per-project incentive from your electric utility, typically low thousands, that stacks with NYS Clean Heat on the same project. Availability depends on your specific utility, National Grid, NYSEG, or a municipal utility, check your town’s page for your address’s eligibility.
EmPower+
No-cost installation up to $12,000 for qualifying income-eligible upstate households. Covers the full cost for many homeowners who meet the income requirements.
HEAR Rebate
Up to $8,000 toward the heat pump itself, stacking with EmPower+ for eligible households.

Not Every Town Qualifies The Same Way
Most of the towns we serve are on National Grid and qualify for the full rebate stack above. A handful of towns run their own municipal electric utility instead, Sherrill, Hamilton, Ilion, and Frankfort, and don’t qualify for NYS Clean Heat, though EmPower+ and HEAR still apply there. Morrisville is served by NYSEG rather than National Grid but still qualifies for the standard NYS Clean Heat stack under its own utility program.
